The 2017 Mitchell County History Bee was held April 6 in the Historic Mitchell County Courthouse. Here are the winners of our first competition:
Winners of the 15 to 18 Age Group (L-R): Anna Zheng (1st prize – $500), Amanda Biddix (2nd prize – $300), and Ada McKinney (3rd prize – $200).
Winners of the 10 to 14 Age Group (L-R): Tyler Burleson (2nd prize – $300), Allison Sudderth (1st prize – $500), and Chesnee Snell (3rd place – $200).
